SCCA Refinery | Short Program: K’gari Field Trip is a 4-day, 3-night program on World Heritage listed K’gari.

Offering creative practitioners a unique opportunity to explore the convergence of art, science, technology and the environment.

This short program encourages interdisciplinary thinking, collaboration and experimentation supported by cutting-edge technologies. Grounded in a respect for Indigenous knowledges, the program will offer embodied experiences and the opportunity to connect with and learn from Butchulla/Badtjala traditional owners.

R | Short Program: Projection Art is designed to build participants’ understanding of projection art, covering mapping (including building and object mapping), installation, screen-based works, narrative work and  looped video. 

In this creative and technical exploration, artists will be guided through the full process—from concept development and editing to site-responsive projection and exhibition design—while expanding their technical skills in projection mapping, masking, and troubleshooting.

ANAT SPECTRA 2025 :: Reciprocity with Provocateur Kieran Swann was part of the Critical Light program.

Ten contemporary experimental practitioners in their first five years of practice will be selected to attend the triennial gathering as a group to critically engage with the presentation of interdisciplinary art practice and creative research. Over three days, the group chosen from across Australia will together view works, attend talks and meet with contributing artists and attendees, to engage in rigorous conversations about the works and ideas.
